November 25, 2019
VOCTADA urges you to take note and have your say concerning the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law which will shape the way that our communities grow over the next 20 years. These documents have policies and regulations dealing with the environment, the economy, heritage and community character, housing, and social and physical health.
Many people inside the Village boundaries and outside of the Village boundaries do not realize that the planning area boundaries have changed. That alone may be well worth knowing for some people. Anyone concerned or interested should go to the hearing to find out more.

MLA Hugh MacKay to Address Constituents in Chester-St.Margaret’s
VOCTADA (Village of Chester Tourism & Development Association) is pleased to present an opportunity for residents of Chester-St. Margaret’s to hear an update from MLA Hugh Mackay, ask questions and perhaps even offer their advice to government on
Thursday, January 18 starting at 7pm at St. Stephen’s Tuck Hall on Central Street in the Village of Chester.
“Although our MLA does make himself and his representative available regularly, not everyone is available during business hours,” said VOCTADA Director Piers Baker. “VOCTADA believes it’s important to host this type of event so residents have the opportunity to speak directly to our representative about the issues that affect them, their families and their communities.”
“With the upcoming twinning of Highway 103, concerns about Chester’s water supply, road conditions and the healthcare system,” said Baker, “there should be ample opportunity for questions and comments from the audience, or maybe even an occasional pat on the back.
The event is free and open to the public, with doors opening at 6:30 pm followed by light refreshments and an opportunity to mingle.
